SHEET LEAD AND BRICKS

Sheet Lead is commonly used for sound and x-ray shielding and is available in many thicknesses.

Lead Bricks are used for heavy shielding where Sheet Lead is impractical.

Lead Bricks are available in two styles, square and interlocking and come in many different sizes. The unique design of the interlocking brick permits butting surfaces to mate in such a way as to prevent any radiation leakage.

Typical sizes of interlocking bricks are 8 or 12 inches long and 1 to 2-1/2 inches thick. The standard size of square brick (non-interlocking) is usually 2" x 4" x 8".  However, both types can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes to meet any requirement.

Lead Foil and Vinyl are ideal for wrapping or covering experimental equipment or controlling x-rays as well as protecting people from unwanted exposure.

New Shield's Room Partition system panels are ideal for dividing large rooms to create the workspace appropriate to your needs, such as a separate dark room or control area.

Room Partition panels consist of a single unpierced sheet of 1/16" lead laminated between two Formica panels.

The partition panels are one inch thick and are secured by means of aluminum channles and connecting angles, eliminating the need for stud framing.

Panels include all mounting channels
